1. Introduction
Shri Nirvani Akhara is a spiritual and religious institution dedicated to Sanatan Dharma and Shaivite traditions. As a non-profit religious trust, donations play a vital role in enabling our spiritual, charitable, and social outreach missions.
This Donation & Refund Policy outlines our principles regarding financial contributions received via our official website or other authorized channels.
2. Nature of Donations
All donations made to Shri Nirvani Akhara Trust are treated as voluntary offerings (दान) toward spiritual, charitable, and religious causes.
Donations may be made for general support, specific causes (e.g., Annadaan, Gaushala, Temple Construction), or sponsored events (e.g., Kumbh Seva).
All funds received are exclusively used for the objectives of the Trust as per the Indian Trust Act and governing spiritual principles.
3. Donation Channels
We accept donations via the following legitimate channels:
Our official website’s secure donation portal
UPI, bank transfers, and QR codes provided by authorized representatives
At akhara camps during events like Kumbh Mela or Religious Yatras
⚠️ We strongly advise verifying donation links and only using platforms approved by Shri Nirvani Akhara Trust.
4. Tax Exemption & Receipts
Donations made within India are eligible for 80G Income Tax exemption under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Upon successful donation, a digital receipt will be sent to your registered email.
For PAN-based receipts or FCRA-related foreign donations, additional documentation may be requested.
5. Refund Policy
As a matter of spiritual and legal clarity:
All donations are final and non-refundable.
Once a donation is processed, it cannot be canceled, reversed, or refunded under normal circumstances.
Exceptions will only be made in cases of:
Duplicate transaction due to technical error
Wrong amount deducted multiple times
Donation made in error with written request within 48 hours
In such cases, the donor must immediately contact us at donations@nirvaniakhara.org with:
Full Name
Transaction ID
Date and Amount of Transaction
Reason for refund request
The Trust will review such requests and may issue a refund at its sole discretion. All approved refunds will be processed within 10-15 working days, after deduction of applicable payment gateway charges (if any).
6. Security of Payments
Our donation system uses SSL encryption and PCI-DSS compliant gateways to ensure safe and secure transactions.
We do not store credit/debit card information on our servers.
7. Donation Acknowledgement
All donors will receive an email acknowledgment of their contribution.
Major or recurring donors may be featured in our spiritual gratitude roll or invited to Trust events, if they choose to opt-in.
8. Foreign Contributions (FCRA)
Shri Nirvani Akhara Trust is FCRA certified and authorized to receive foreign donations, subject to Indian government regulations.
Foreign donors must provide valid identification (passport copy) and purpose of donation as per FCRA compliance norms.
9. Disputes & Jurisdiction
In case of any disputes related to donations or refunds, the decision of the Trust shall be final and binding. Legal jurisdiction will be Prayagraj or Haridwar, Uttar Pradesh, India.
